Take Action for Your Community

Our region is a great place to grow older. Let’s work together to keep it that way!

Massachusetts lawmakers work hard everyday to ensure that programs and services, such as managed home care and Medicaid, remain fully funded at the levels necessary to ensure access by all who need them. When we talk to them or when they talk to their colleagues in the statehouse or in Congress, the information most likely to build support for our issues is the personal story.
If you want to take action to preserve and strengthen the social safety net and healthcare, please consider sharing your story. We have the hard data and statistics, but statistics alone never changed anyone’s heart or mind. 
  • How have the programs and services available through Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands helped you, your loved ones or your community more generally?
  • What challenges (such as housing, nutrition, etc.) have our staff been able to help you with?
  • What are your greatest concerns as an older adult, person with a disability, or caregiver?
