Who We Are – A Quick Portrait
We employ over 140 trained staff and have over 1,500 caring people who volunteer their time to help. We have five offices throughout the service area.
Each year, we deliver over 200,000 meals to elders in each town of the Cape and Islands. In addition, we serve over 40,000 meals at our 16 Senior Dining Centers.
We provide in-home services to over 2,300 frail seniors, investigate over 700 reports of elder abuse, answer over 9,000 phone calls to our Information and Referral Department…and much more!
We are the federally designated Area Agency on Aging (AAA) and the state designated Aging Services Access Point (ASAP) for this region.
We are part of the Mass Home Care network, a group of 30 non-profits dedicated to serving seniors in every city and town in Massachusetts as well as a member of the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging (n4A), the umbrella organization for the 655 AAAs in the United States.
ESCCI uses federal, state, county, town and private funds to provide services and maintain programs.
